Chapter 01 — The Arrival

BetweenForest & Sea

Nine hundred metres of unlit forest road, then a wall of board-formed concrete opens without a sound. Nothing announces the house before you are inside it.

01 / 03

A place of your own.

Raresweet is let to one party at a time. No lobby, no neighbours, no shared anything — only a house at the end of a forest road, and whoever you choose to bring.

The open-air living pavilion with linen sofas, board-formed concrete and sliding glass onto the pool

Built for living together.

One long spine of board-formed concrete and teak, opened on both sides. Everything faces the pool; everything past the pool faces the sea. Sixteen people can be in the same house and still find a room to themselves.

Section 12 — Story

2016 — The land

Bought so it would not be cleared.

Two and a half hectares of coastal forest, already marked for felling. The purchase came first; the idea of a house came much later.
